     Applications are invited for admission to M.Phil in Clinical Psychology and M.Phil in Psychiatric Social Work courses for the Academic session 2022-24 conducted at INSTITUTE OF MENTAL HEALTH AND NEURO SCIENCES (IMHANS), an Autonomous Institute under Government of Kerala Govt. Medical College Campus, Kozhikode, Kerala - 673 008.

The Institute of Mental Health and Neurosciences (IMHANS) offers M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology, a two year full time course affiliated to Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS). The course is recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), with an intake of 8 candidates each year.

IMHANS is the only centre in the Govt. sector in Kerala to provide M.Phil. course in Clinical Psychology with multi-specialty facilities, with an initiative to develop as a center for promoting wellness and provide excellence in mental health care.

Eligibility Criteria:
The minimum educational requirement for admission to M. Phil. in Clinical Psychology course is 2 years M.A./ M.Sc. degree in Psychology from a UGC  recognized university, with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate (as per RCI norms). For SC/ST category, a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate is required.

For PSW;

Candidates applying for M.Phil PSW should have passed 2 years full time MA/MSW degree in Social Work from a recognized University, specialized in Medical and Psychiatric social work or specialized in mental health social work or having at least one paper in mental health with clinical exposure in psychiatric settings as part of the course, securing not less than 55% marks in the aggregate of the Master’s degree as a whole through regular mode

of study.

Duration: Two years (full- time regular course)

Admission Procedure:
The selection of the candidate is based on merit through a written test and personal interview conducted usually during the months of July/ August in accordance with the guidelines of KUHS and Govt. of Kerala.

75% of marks will be the weightage for written examination and 25% marks for the personal interview.

Candidates who are selected and joins the training will receive a Stipend of: Rs. 10,000/- per month

The application fee can be paid online or by using challan (generated online at the time of registration) at any of the branches of Federal Bank till the last date of the application using the application number obtained after registration procedure.
